The venue of the day Wow – what a day Saturday turned out to be! I had the absolute pleasure of being part of Lisa and Stacey’s beautiful civil wedding at the Orange Grove Hotel and Gardens in Southampton, Hampshire – and let me tell you, this venue never fails to impress. If you’re looking for a wedding venue in Hampshire that’s got charm, elegance, AND a few funky surprises – this one should definitely be on your list!
The atmosphere From the moment I arrived, I could feel the buzz. The sun was shining, friends and family were already smiling, and the gardens looked absolutely picture-perfect. The Orange Grove’s outdoor space really is something else – with its lush green backdrops and those super cool private dining pods that give it such a unique edge. It’s not just a dream for weddings – it’s a top pick for any kind of celebration.
Lisa and Stacey had thought of everything. The ceremony took place in the window area, where beautiful stained glass windows added a splash of colour and elegance to the setting. As the light filtered through, it created this magical glow – a total dream to set up the photo booth in!
Speaking of the booth – this was a blast! The couple chose our popular gold sparkle backdrop, which looked amazing in the photos. They went for a 3-hour printing hire, and we included our full table of funky props. Guests just couldn’t stay away. It was non-stop giggles and strikes of poses – people kept coming back again and again to try something new. The strip photo layout was a big hit, and the boomerang feature combined with social sharing meant everyone could instantly post their moments of fun online – which they loved!
Ahh the cake Now let’s talk about the cake – or rather, the lack of one! Instead of going traditional, Lisa and Stacey served up a tower of 100 Krispy Kreme donuts stacked beautifully on a tiered cake stand. I’m not exaggerating when I say they vanished in record time! There was something for every taste – from chocolate sprinkles to glazed classics – and it was such a fun and modern twist that got everyone talking.
Who we met Another highlight was the incredible energy from Hampshire Event DJs. They were on hand to keep the vibe alive and the dancefloor moving – and what a playlist! From party classics to dancefloor bangers, they knew exactly how to read the room. I even found myself having a little dance behind the booth (shhh, don’t tell anyone!).
This day had everything – sunshine, laughter, donuts, dancing, and SO much love. Lisa and Stacey were glowing with happiness, and it was clear their guests were having the time of their lives.
After the wedding day As always, after the event, we sent the couple a private online gallery of all the amazing photos the very next day – so they could relive every smile, every silly prop, and every moment of joy from their big day.
